Synopsis
Summer 1998. Adam, an Egyptian teen from Luxembourg, uses his madcap entrepreneurial skills to bridge his two cultural identities. A coming-of-age comedy that lands him in a world of trouble that includes running a basketball sneakers scheme in Europe, apprenticing to a sanctimonious scam-artist uncle in Montreal, and wrangling street orphans in Alexandria. On his journey to achieve his dreams, Adam wrestles with his identity, girls, his family, fermented fish -- and discovers the things money can’t buy.
