CHEMIN ROXHAM
In Dakar, Senegal, a young interpreter for a local NGO, translates the disturbing testimony of street children sexually abused for foreign investigators, even as she prepares for her own wedding and a new chapter in her life.
Synopsis
Dakar, Senegal, West Africa, a young woman, Maïmouna, rents her interpreter services for a local NGO to collect the testimony of "street children" visibly victims of sexual abuse. She translates to foreign investigators, a Spanish and a Canadian, the story of a particular child, Moussa, who half-heartedly reveals that a man regularly comes to give candy to "her friends" and leaves with them for a few hours to make "big games". Even if she is shaken by this story, her colleagues remind her that it is her wedding this weekend and that a new life begins for her.
